Lauren Greenhall is a director, producer, and comedian.
She has produced TV and Video for: IFC, The New York Post, Vimeo Originals, NBC, CBS, the Huffington Post and UCB Comedy. Her comedy videos have been featured in the Huffington Post, Gothamist, Bust, Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls, Brokelyn, The Comedy Local, and Comedy Cake.
Greenhall worked on multiple series for IFC Comedy Crib, “IFC’s hub for off-kilter webseries”. She served as Producer for “Boy Band”, which follows a disgraced boy band star and his team as they try to create the next pop sensation. She also served as associate producer for Modern Dating, created and directed by Trevor Williams, which explores modern dating through a series of silent black and white vignettes. Greenhall recently also worked with Williams on “Put That In Your Skits”, a pilot that is currently a finalist in the NYTVF truTV Comedy initiative.
Greenhall directs mini docs and digital docu-series. Notably her mini doc Milk Riders, a piece on the New York Milk Bank’s badass delivery team, was featured in the New York Times, Slate, Refinery 29, Huffington Post, Bust, and Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls, among others. She co-created and directed the pilot episodes of the ongoing docu-series Diary of an Angry American Patriot as well as Muslims in America, an interview series that tackles the modern Muslim experience through an examination of the word “Jihad”. This series’ widespread reach landed her the opportunity to speak at NYU about the relationship between religion and the media.
Greenhall produced Vimeo’s first international standup special “Loyiso Gola Live In New York”, Executive Produced and directed by Trina DasGupta. For this special, Greenhall was flown to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to work alongside the South African comedian and DasGupta in order to craft and develop the show.
She worked as an associate producer at the New York Comedy Festival from 2013-2014, coordinating and producing 60+ shows in her time there. Previously Greenhall produced live music festivals and a comedy talk show on East Village Radio. She loves Indian food.
